...it has, during the past few years or so, occurred to me that I judge the quality of writing on everything ever by one yardstick. And that yardstick is "Blake's 7". B7 at its best, of course, and that also extends to the quality of the fanfic, the standard by which I will forever judge other fanfics by. And during the past few months, when I've been trying to get people to watch A Woman's Face, I've been going on about how the layers and the ambiguous motives and the power games and the backstabbing and the intelligence and the bitchiness of the dialogue in that film are on the same level as B7. Of course, this got embarrassing when I realised I had been gushing to people who hadn't seen B7 either, but yeah. It really is the standard I judge everything by.

Please tell me I'm not the only one?

I mean, this explains everything. No wonder people from other fandoms sometimes see us as snobs...
