The mythological Trickster is the greatest of heroes. Why? Because while the Trickster is often a shit-stirrer, the Trickster serves a purpose.
-The Trickster will ask you to reconsider everything you believe in and the world you live in and the values you live by.
-The Trickster will make you uncomfortable.
-The Trickster will take the piss.
-The Trickster doesn't give a shit about your ideas of sex, gender, orientation or who you should sleep with and how you should do it.
-The Trickster laughs at your arbitrary divisions of nationality and race.
-The Trickster can't believe you're dumb enough to think there are clear distinctions between species, plant, human, animal, vegetable, mineral.
-The Trickster starts revolutions.
-The Trickster shakes you up. Chaos can be a great teacher. The Trickster is here to show you why and how.
-The Trickster knows your insecurities and will gleefully bring them out to light.
-The Trickster walks between the worlds and knows your perception of reality is incredibly subjective and that everything is relative. The Trickster high-fives with the Buddha because he's grokked this illusion thing.
-The Trickster hacks into your systems. All the more reason for you to get your finger out and start working on those security issues.
-The Trickster loves the absurd, the cracky, the surreal. The Trickster is crudely-drawn dick graffiti and Terry Gilliam's animations.
-The Trickster shows you what you should *not* do, including the consequences.
-The Trickster knows sanity is an abstract concept that just happens to be bullshit.
-The Trickster is that element in life that's always beyond you and me and should be beyond you and me. Because the Trickster is also that which takes you and me beyond you and me.
-The Trickster is the annoying precocious kid who always asks questions. The Trickster is also the annoying kid who grows up to be a scientist, because the Trickster never stops asking those pesky questions.
-The Trickster is the fucking awesome villain every hero needs. The Trickster tells the hero they're not so different.
-The Trickster is the carnival, the turning of things upside down on their heads, the letting go, the release of pressure, letting off steam.
-The Trickster shoots your ego full of holes.
-The Trickster is one huge, fuck-off question mark. Because that's what life needs. Or it will never get anywhere.
