Basically, felt sad for everyone and love makes you miserable. Beautifully, beautifully shot and acted, though. Everyone was brilliant, and I just need me some more Rachel Weisz being angsty. (Really need to see Agora one of these days.) And I must stop dithering and finally buy The Fountain on DVD

I'm assuming this is a different Deep Blue Sea to the movie with Samuel L Jackson and a bunch of mutant sharks...

I just knew someone was going to bring that up... this could've been a bit less depressing with the addition of a couple of sharks, I'm sure. And Samuel L. Jackson asking if real power wants a magazine or something.

Well, it *would* be nice to see SLJ do some proper serious acting acting - it's been a while since I've seen any of that from him, though he does do it now and again, between the usual "compulsory badass" appearances.

"Samuel L. Jackson does Terence Rattigan" is an interesting concept. I'd certainly pay to see it.

I totally need this in my life. Samuel L. Jackson angsting in a drawing room, moving slowly, devastated by the thought of his daughter marrying someone from a different class. He makes his way to the mantlepiece, leans his head on his hand and whispers quietly, full of sorrow: "Motherfucker."

I need this. I need this so much.

Well, Hollywood actors do seem to like playing the West End, so maybe we could lobby a London impresario to cast him in Rattigan.

Did I hallucinate you saying that you were coming to the Crucible again? I've just booked for the Saturday matinee on June 2.

PS I can sort of see Jackson as the posh barrister in The Winslow Boy. No angsting but one hell of a smartarse.
