Book memery

The book I am reading:
Umm... currently an English translation of the Lalita Sahasranama, a collection of Finnish translations of Hafiz, Jan Fries' Kali Kaula and there was something else but I forget.

The book I love most:
You've got to be fucking joking. There are too many to mention and I love them for different reasons.

The last book I received as a gift:
Aaaaah, I can't remember this either. versaphile may have given me something Rumi-y?

The last book I gave as a gift:
My family doesn't really do book presents and my sister and dad don't seem to really do novels. My mum mostly reads trashy romance or murder mysteries and isn't into buying books, she just gets them out of the library. So book gifts would be pretty much wasted with my family members (yeah, I've long suspected I'm adopted, she says, glancing at her creaking bookshelves). Although my sister's been showing some interest in low-carb, so I should probably get her a copy of Protein Power. I have been thinking of getting versaphile some Persian poetry, but I can't even afford to buy any myself at the moment.

The nearest book:
It'd be that copy of the Lalita Sahasranama. "Yup, Devi, you are awesome and you really kicked those demons' arses. Also, your boobs are epic. W00t!"

The last book I bought:
I got this groovy 70s book on yoga and tantra that was full of b/w photos of Scandinavian hippies and had lots of psychedelic illustrations. It was pretty awesome and I should scan it in. And in the last library sale, I got some old Arabian Nights fairytale books, moar Hafiz and a book on witches and and and and. I haven't really read that many novels recently because I've still got my head buried in all this Persian stuff. But c'mon, most of it is intoxicating ecstatic poetry with epic gay BDSM imagery and altered states of consciousness; can you blame me?
