How was that for a slice of fried gold?:D

Holy fucking shit, I enjoyed that so much. It was pretty close to flawless. Ohhh, I am in love. <3 And I am so amused that as soon as Mark Gatiss showed up, I went OH MY GOD, HE SO IS MYCROFT. Didn't have the nails for Moriarty, you see. I didn't even know Gatiss was going to be in it; I just thought he was the co-writer! But oh, man. This was so solid and so good. All the actors were great. And the music was wonderful! This could've failed utterly, what with the whole modern Holmes idea and all the texting and all the graphic design stuff, but it really came together beautifully. I wasn't annoyed by the modern stuff at all. The direction was lovely, too. And I was fucking howling at all the Holmes/Watson jokes. It's so rare that I can enjoy telly as much as I did for the last one and a half hours. Why are there only going to be three episodes of this? Why?

*sighs happily*

P.S. Benedict Cumberbatch is pretty. He's like some comic book characters I've seen what with those cheekbones and stuff. It's like someone combined the Sandman, some pale-eyed chicks from pornographic French comics and threw in a bit of tall, pretty bishiness. And I always approve of skinny British blokes in long coats. (What with the current Who rumours going round, I wouldn't mind him being the Master either...) ETA: His mum is Wanda Ventham?!? Who I fancy the pants off anyway? This kind of explains something. Like the pale blue eyes.

P.S. Moar? Now?

I still don't have a Holmes icon (and mine would probably be Brett anyway), so a Mark Gatiss shall have to suffice.
