-My period started a week early:O It must be the hardcore low-carb and the exercise. This happened just after I'd nipped out with the bike again, this time only two blocks away to get some groceries.
-Speaking of groceries, I got some sunflower seeds and some tomato pesto and mettwurst slices. I've been having fun with some of the recipes in the Finnish low-carbers' database. I made a bun with almond flour, egg and the sunflower seeds (only took me a minute in the microwave) and pesto/mettwurst pizza topping kind of stuff and nommed it all with some tomato slices and grated cheese and a bit of salad.
NOMS:
This was salty as hell so it's not something you'd eat every day, but it's really delicious as a bit of a treat. There were only like 9 carbs on that entire plate, and plenty of protein and fibre \o/ If anyone's curious about the sausage slice thingies, you just slap those on a ceramic plate (or on an oven tray if you want to make them in an oven; I just nuked mine for one and a half minutes), put some pesto or salsa over them, a few tomato slices if you wish, sprinkle them with cheese and cook them until the cheese has melted. Sprinkle a bit of oregano or basil on top. Nom. Absolutely delicious. It's like a pizza, but without the crust:D I can give instructions for the bun as well, if anyone's interested. Noki went absolutely nuts with the scent of this dish and tried to steal the mettwurst slices all the time. I managed to shoo her off after a while, though.
-Speaking of the cat, she'll be going on a better diet next week as well, just to see if that'd help her lose weight. I'm not all that keen on the Royal Canin Light having so much rice flour and crap in it, so I've ordered a bit of
Orijen to see if she'll eat it. It should be as close as you can get to natural pet food, as in meat meat meat. At least it costs about the same, so I don't have anything to lose.
Yay fudz!
