Muuuuuuuse

Finally heard Uprising and United States of Eurasia. And yeah, I'm with everyone else: 1) lol, Doctor Who and 2) ahahaha, Queeeeeen. Actually, USoE reminds me a bit of Cockney Rebel at their craziest and most epic, so Queen isn't the only glam rock influence there. Uprising is more to my taste, though--I like a nice rollicking tune (the stomping and clapping rhythms are v. glam as well, and made of porn). Oh, Muse, you are living in a world of British sci-fi dystopia and I LOVE YOU FOR IT. SomeonepleasefanvidthistoB7nowkthxbai.

Man, I have to get the whole album now.

Also, on an unrelated note, apparently it's some big Bisexual Pride day today or something. Yay? *bums everyone*

And oh, amberite found this cool article: Carl Jung and the Holy Grail of the Unconscious. They're finally publishing that Red Book of his. That should be interesting.

*runs off to find moar Muse spacemusic*

ETA: The Resistance: meh:/. Most of the album seems to be a bit too proggy for my taste. In the sense that the songs keep sprawling and keep changing from one style into another or that they keep sort of building up or marching on and never properly starting or bursting into action--even the epic classical bits are kind of... build-up-y and I'm left waiting for something. It's sort of... jam-y at times, which generally tends to turn me off. (Yeah, sue me for liking straightforward songs.) And the lyrics aren't clicking with me all that much emotionally. Maybe it'll grow on me, but it's been a frustrating listen so far.

muzak, muse are made of win, bisexuality
