-I kind of like the idea that she can't escape the Guv even in the present day, but for an end, that was a bit... eh. Did anyone else feel like it could've had a bit more oomph or something more interesting and evil? Or have I just been too tired when watching this? God, I'm glad there's going to be a third series, because that ending was a bit... well. It was probably more comedic than they intended it to be, really. Or if they intended the end to be funneh rather than nightmarish, that was a bit flat too. Meh. IDK. I couldn't not see giant Guvs yelling at you as accidentally hilarious. I don't know, it lacked something, I thought. And not in the "ooh, I wonder what'll happen next" mindbending cliffhanger sense, just... floundering a bit. I would've sort of preferred it if it had ended where they shot Alex and nobody would know what the fuck. That sort of thing where she sees the Guv in the present day would've worked much better as a single, short flash on her telly when she was all recuperated and at home with Molly and just as a quick shock, not repeated Guv-yelling and Alex running around like in some old comedy, I suppose.
But, roll on, next year. I'm curious about the focus on the Guv, because it'd be super-interesting to see him being the one stuck in some time period and his struggles to get out.
