-I've made a firm decision not to be bitchy or nitpicky about the new Wind in the Willows since Rusty's not involved 'cos I can't be arsed. It's good fun. And did I mention CASTING GENIUS? Not that I have stupid, unconditional love for everything with Mark Gatiss in.
-It is pretty damn frightening, though, to see Mark Gatiss and Matt Lucas fighting over Lee Ingleby. It is camp glory, yes, but FRIGHTENING. Eep. Those two would've been dodgy enough, but all the Weasels are young, dancing twinks... hmm...:)
-Also, will now have to explain to
mr_moley why Ratty is downing so much booze. The most likely theory at the moment is "because he has to endure Toad". No wonder he grabs Mole at the first opportunity, the poor sod needs a toyboy friends.
-Is it just me, or does at least half of this sound like it was dubbed by the actors afterwards? The video file I've got isn't jerky or anything, it doesn't seem like it's a typical sound-out-of-synch problem, especially when half the lines seem to be in perfect synch. It's barely noticeable, but anyway? And speaking of voices, the judge sounds EXACTLY LIKE TOM BAKER. I was disappointed when he wasn't.
-This could've been so-and-so but it gets A MILLION EXTRA POINTS for Actually Filming The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. Holy crap! I can't even think of any other feature adaptation that has done it! Cosgrove-Hall did it, but separately from their movie version. EEEEEEEe. Nothing can ever pwn the Cosgrove-Hall series, but dude! THEY DID PIPER!!!1 *Kisses Rachel Talalay passionately now and loves her more than ever*
