We decided to give a new wine a try, the name was awesome, as was the label. It was definitely going to be a bottle to keep afterward.
http://underthegrapetree.blogspot.com/2009/02/evil-cabernet-sauvignon-2007.html The description is quite accurate as to the taste. My husband, who as a general rule, hates red wine (too dry)...actually liked it enough to pour a full glass. It's a very tasty red, smooth and not too dry. He's currently telling me how much he loves the aftertaste. :D
We will definitely be getting this one more often. It's comparable to Gato Negro Cabernet/Merlot, which was my favorite red before I moved. The combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot mellows out the tannins, which is where the dryness comes from. I do still love my Shiraz and Syrah, which are very heavy duty reds, but are something Sky doesn't care for. I'm glad to have found a red that we can drink and enjoy together.
Anyway, to the point of this entry...
Happy Halloween!
And...Evil is quite tasty. >:}
