Help?

How do I set comments to screened? I was supposed to do this for the hd-remix check-in post, and I screwed it up.

What I did was to set "Screening" to "All" but that doesn't seem to have worked.

The options on the "Comments" pull-down list were confusing. What do I do?

Situation has been resolved. Thanks for the help!

Screen all. But when you reply it will un-screen and you will need to rescreen manually.

Thanks so much! I think this might have either been an LJ glitch (because I think that's what I had done) or else I was trying to leave test comments from the wrong account? I dunno. Frustrating!

Did you intend to set this post as screened too, while testing? *curious*

I did! I should have said that in the post :)

And I think some of the problem may have been a cock-up on LJ's part - soon after I posted the check-in post, my feed went all wonky, and I tried replying to your first comment and that got lost! So it's possible it wasn't entirely my fault :)

Thanks so much for the help!

The answer is set screening to all, yes. But if any comments came through before you changed it, those comments would not automatically be screened, only comments after you changed the setting. But you can manually screen comments (I'm not sure what it would look like in that layout--mine just has the word screen under the comment) that may have come in before you set it.

Comments made by mods/maintainers don't get screened, that might have been the problem. ^^

I think you may be right! I deliberately used my snowgall account instead of the hd_remix_mod account to test it, but I forgot that snowgall is considered a maintainer as well! Next time I should either trust that it worked, or test it by signing out of LJ completely.

So complicated!
