Fic recs from assorted 2015 HP fests
To celebrate the new year, I've got recs of some of my favorite 2015 Drarry fics that came out of non-Drarry focused fests (that I haven't already featured in other rec posts already, that is).

Rather Than Love by birdsofshore ( NC-17 | 8,000 ) 3-Feb-2015
Summary: The first time we tried it, I gave him too much. The second time, I got the dosage right, but I was frustratingly unprepared for how it would affect me. This is the third time, and I have it all planned out. Everything is going to be perfect.
The dirty talk in this story is superb. It's almost hotter hearing Harry talking about what they get up to than it would be 'seeing' them get up to it in the story. And there's something about consensual public humiliation that's so incredibly hot (and it has to be consensual or else it's just not hot at all, you know?) It's all about how the sub actually really loves this, and with the veritaserum, you know he does, so you can just sit back and enjoy all the filthy hotness knowing Harry's enjoying it too. And referring to it as a 'verbal striptease' is just spot on.

The Arrangement by create_serenity ( NC-17 | 16,000 ) 21-Feb-2015
Summary: The arrangement was very simple really, and very convenient. Draco just hadn’t expected it to result in this mess.
A well written and enjoyable Veela story, with both Veela!Draco and Veela!Harry, though only one of them has wings :) Jealous!Draco is tons of fun, even as he's stubbornly fighting his own instincts.

Summary: Seven years after the fall of Voldemort, a magic-less Harry is set upon by an unknown organization, and having Auror Draco Malfoy assigned as his bodyguard really is the least of his problems.
I enjoyed a lot of this. I thought Harry's depression was handled well, and I liked Draco's character a whole lot and how his sexuality was handled, as well as their talks.
The Guise of Forgiveness by SunseticMonster ( PG-13 | 24,000 ) 21-May-2015
Summary: George's new potion has caught the interest of the entire Auror Department, thanks to an article by the elusive Draco Malfoy. So, when Harry sees Malfoy in the middle of a panic attack, he attempts to make amends as a ploy to find out what's really been going on.
Great story. I really enjoyed reading it. There were so many wonderful awkward conversations. I just loved all of them; they felt so natural and right the way people would actually talk. And Draco's anxiety issues were handled so well - not brushed aside and not solved easily or completely. And through it all there are all of these deftly humorous bits. The only thing missing was UST and sex :)

Summary: After Harry is infected with vampirism on an Auror mission, Draco Malfoy is assigned to him as his Transition Assistant.
Who knew a vampire story could be so witty? This was just a delight to read - I loved all of Draco and Harry's interactions, and Harry teething...oh my god! The UST was terrific too. The only problem is that it ends too soon!

Summary: Funny how in the absence of his room mate, he begins finding mysterious feathers in unusual places. It might also be funny that he seems to be hoarding them.
Super cute and fun read :)

In Eggnog, Veritas(erum) by ereshai ( PG | 900 ) 20-Dec-2015
Summary: The Ministry's annual Yule Ball is a great place to network, but it's also deadly dull. This year, things are going to get a little more lively.
This was great! Really cute, and I loved that Harry and Draco just went with it once they figured out what was up. Short and sweet and fun :)

Summary: Harry shows Draco how to make snow angels. :D
Cute and sweet and nice banter.
Note: I was waiting for mini-fest to post their reveals, but I have no idea when that will be, so I gave in and posted now :)
