My last post was about Obama's principled stance on fundraising, which is incredible. However, the other side of financing entirely without lobbyist money is that you must rely on donations. McCain and the RNC raised nearly $45 million dollars in May, largely from lobbyists at $50,000+ a pop, and Obama will need some serious support coming out of the primary season to jump start his general election campaign.

Anything helps, and he's ideally asking for $25 - Obama knows that 2,000 people supporting him for $50,000 is so much more powerful then 1 lobby.
