More gamey stuff that feels off for some of the Facebook crowd. Are you interested in obscure indie J-horror? If the answer is yes, you should definitely check out Ib right now if you haven't already. I bring this up because I just finished The Witch's House last night at 3 AM, which is similar (freeware RPGMaker software used for sprite horror rather than an RPG). The Witch's House is also pretty good, if not quite as neat as Ib... basically Witch's House is focused more on just plain scaring you with surprise horrible things from around the corner, but doesn't really mess with your head much until the end. Pretty awesome villain, though, if by awesome you mean "infuriatingly evil." Pretty great music, too.
Anyway, as noted, it's free, if Windows-specific. Reasonably short too - Ib is ~3 hours, WH is ~2 hours.
