I don't want anymore...

Fandoms. Nope. Sorry. I'm tired of getting attached to shows only to have them end. First Joan, now Alias...Before Joan there was Popuar, Due South, Buffy, Angel...*sigh* I heard a nasty rumor that after this next season, this fall, Boston Legal will be over. Lost's season finale is tomorrow. That show is doing well in ratings, but from the previews it looks like the episode is going to answer some of the bigger questions which makes me wonder what they're going to do next. Grey's Anatomy, another of my fandoms, is also doing well, but I dont' want to get attached to anymore shows. Besides, BL, Lost, and GA just don't hold me the way Joan or Alias did. I like them, but the characters don't inspire me to want to write and that's what I want/need in a fandom.

I've also got a conundrum in that both Jason Ritter and Sprague Grayden, from Joan of Arcadia, are going to have new shows on CBS this fall. Now, I promised myself that A) I would never watch CBS again (except for the Top Ten on Letterman because he spoke out once for Joan) and B) that I would watch basically anything with the Joan actors. I've spent probably close to a hundred dollars buying rare/hard to find (and thus fairly expensive) DVDs of some of the other things the actors have been in.  So. The question becomes, do I break my vow and watch CBS, thereby supporting them and their lame-ass treatment of fans? Or do I miss out on supporting two of the actors from my favorite show ever? In all honesty, the show Jason will be on didn't interest me that much, but the one Sprague is going to be on sounded very good...*sigh* I hate this. I ***DON'T*** want to watch CBS, which wasn't that difficult this past season since they really had nothing interesting, but damnit, I liked the actors from Joan and want to watch stuff they're in. Why can't Moonves just break down and give the Joan fans a wrap-up? Fascist.
