I just read the last like 3 chpts, and I thought I would leave a review here. I liked the differences in Hermione btw the one we met at the beginning and the end, because I think you are one of the few authors out there who can write this point in Hermione's character without making me dismiss it as bad writing of non-canon Hermione. We have seen she is capable of being healthier than what she is during the war. I totally missed the star trek refrence (about which I am sad). The fact that she wasn't involved in the war was ironic to the point of being poetic. I liked the transition to abusive!Draco, he made sense.
But I'm not sure about Hermione's thinking. But, the transition into DS and S&M, which created this blurry line for consensual sex, I think was good writing. Giving up of her control made sense especially with Draco's urge to dominate her. I just dont see how she got from guilt (probably a bit of self-hatred and the total destruction of her confidence, too) to that very very formal kind of sadism. I like how it unfolded on her and that you show that she didn't really realize how nasty deSade gets, but come on, he's a sadist. To bring him up casually in a sexual encounter seems weird. And then Draco points out he's a sadist, oh the irony... and foreshadowing. And she continues as if there is no problem with this. Did she not read the whole book? Historically, he killed people during sex. So I liked the chapter, but I don't get how she goes from hiding in her room feeling horrible to almost suggesting that hurting her was okay.
