“I promise you it will be my last time to see him, YunHo…” was YooChun last words as he hung up the phone and put it back into his pocket. He sighed heavily. Somehow he already knew that he would break the promises that he swore to YunHo-his best friend.

God knows how many times he promised YunHo that he would move on with his life. He would leave his past behind and started a new page of his life-or so he decided.

Yet til’ this moment, he couldn’t put his past behind let alone move on. Every day, in the same place, at the same time, he would be there. He would be standing or more like hiding behind the big Cherry tree, watching him from afar distance.

Making sure he was fine and as good looking as always. Checking whether he was already having a special someone? Park YooChun would never leave his eyes on him.

Like now, he was humming-or so YooChun thought since he was shaking his head and his lips was mouthing some words once in a while-while gently stringing some beautiful flowers unto the vase.

Suddenly, YooChun’s smile crept on his lips as saw a little boy was walking closer to him. “He came!” YooChun whispered in excitement.

A second later, YooChun noticed the little boy was giving a bucket of flowers to him. “It’s for you, JunSu hyung!” the little boy said shyly. Unfortunately, JunSu doesn’t remember having met this little boy before. “It’s from a man named Yo..ah!” the little boy brought his little hand to cover his little mouth, “I can’t tell you, hyung! Sorry-“ he then bowed and left the curious JunSu.

Now, in JunSu’s hands, were a bucket of white lily flowers. He blinked. He was trying to register what happened to him just a while ago. He smelt the white lily. The smell was good-he thought, then he walked into his shop to put the white lilies on his vase.

“Happy three year anniversary, JunSu…” YooChun whispered as he watched him receive his white lilies as their three year anniversary’s gift.

YooChun couldn’t ask for more. Back then, he already promised YunHo and he didn’t have a heart to break the promise again and again. Tears slowly filled in YooChun’s eyes…he couldn’t let go…yet he had to…he had to say goodbye to him…to JunSu…

-flashback-

“You can’t be in love with him, YooChun!! It’s incest!! He’s your cousin!!” his mother threw tantrums over YooChun who was sitting weakly on the couch. His mother accidentally saw YooChun kissing JunSu’s lips when the two of them were celebrating their first year anniversary of being a couple. That was when YooChun was on his senior year of university, while JunSu was on his sophomore year in high school.

“But mom-“

“No buts, YooChun! Do you know how everybody will look at both of you when they found out?” Mrs. Park eyed his older son eagerly, “It’s against nature and law YooChun!! Disgusting!!” she groaned her anger and again, she looked at YooChun, “You may not have to worry about what you are you feeling, aren’t you, YooChun?” his mother smirked and pulled a chair so she could sit herself before YooChun. “But have you ever thought of JunSu’s feelings?” YooChun stopped breathing, he felt like he had been knocked by a big and hard rock. “Have you, YooChun?” his mother’s face softened, “Think about his future, Son…”

YooChun looked up at his mother “What will happen if JunSu was thrown away from society?” YooChun thought hard for an answer. “Until he is expelled from school and is kicked out by his family? Until there will be no company that will be willing to give him a job because he never finished his schooling? Until finally he tells you that he hates his life? And blame you as the one who pulled him into a hard life? And then he will leave you alone?” YooChun gets frightened by thinking about his mother’s questions. “And do you have such a heart to do that to the little angel JunSu?” his mother asked barely audible.

YooChun threw his body to his mother, hugged his mother tightly-she’s right, isn’t she? Yes! She’s right, YooChun…you should set JunSu free…so he can love his life…so he wouldn’t hate you and even leave you…

“I know it hurts my Son…but please..bear with it…” his mother caressed YooChun’s back, rubbing it gently, until she pulled YooChun back to wipe the tears off his face. She cupped YooChun’s cheek, “Life is this hard…painful…but the one who we love…shouldn’t be in pain because of us…” she said as she placed a kiss on YooChun’s forehead.

Like what his mother ordered, YooChun went to JunSu’s flower shop and found JunSu who was writing something. Being serious on his work, JunSu didn’t realize YooChun’s presence until the older man called him.

“YooChun?” JunSu blinked before he gave YooChun his ear to ear smile. YooChun used to hug him when he meets JunSu…not stand like a stunning man before JunSu. “Wh..What’s wrong, Chun?” he asked hesitantly, receiving a serious look on YooChun’s face.

“Let’s break up, JunSu.” YooChun stated coldly.

“W..What?” JunSu unconsciously stepped backward as he heard YooChun. “B..but..what’s wrong? Wh..why so sudden, Chunnie? I..I mean-“

“It’s getting boring,” YooChun looked away. He looked everywhere but JunSu. He bit his lower lip, holding the tears threatening to drop on his cheeks.

“But yesterday was our-“

“I lied,” YooChun turned his body. Now, his back was facing JunSu and that made it easier to push JunSu away.

“I thought you loved me…” JunSu whispered and his eyes started glistening. “And those words I got from you were…lies?” JunSu sniffed as he felt his nose getting wet. “I..I don’t understand why you would do that to me, YooChun-hyung…why?” JunSu walked closer and tugged YooChun’s sleeve. “You are kidding aren’t you? Today is my birthday and you are making fun of me, aren’t you?” JunSu said, hopeful. His hand kept tugging on YooChun’s sleeve. “Look at me, Chunnie…Look at-Arrrggghh!!” JunSu fell on the hard and cold floor. He was pushed by YooChun. It…hurt… “Hyung…” he pleaded YooChun. “You mean it…?” he brought his palms to cover his face as slowly his tears started coming. “You…You go away!!” JunSu snapped at YooChun. It broke YooChun’s heart to have JunSu facing him with his face wet with tears.

“I won’t ever come back into your life-“

“You better keep that promise or I’ll kill myself if I ever found you in my sight!” JunSu stood up and pushed YooChun to the door. He kicked YooChun away and slammed the door roughly. “Kill yourself, Park YooChun!!” JunSu shouted as he stomped to his bedroom.

-end of flashback-

“Mom…” YooChun was standing before Mrs. Park’s grave. She passed away just two weeks after YooChun and JunSu’s separation. When she was on her way to visit her husband’s grave, a car hit her and she lost a lot of blood.

The day after his mother’s death, YooChun kept dreaming of his mother down on her knees, begging for YooChun’s forgiveness. Just when YooChun was about to reach his mother, he always woke up.

“I miss you…” YooChun confessed as he put new white lily flowers in the vase near the grave. “Sorry ‘cause I peeked at JunSu lately-okay, I watched JunSu everyday…“ he sighed, “I’m not over him yet, mom….” He whispered softly.

“Y..YooChun?” YooChun was stunned as he heard the voice. His body jolted, he was too scared to reply or even turn his body to face the source of the voice.

“YooChun…” and he had been turned forcefully to face a certain someone that he has been missing. “Finally I found you!” then that someone hugged YooChun tightly. YooChun was frozen inside the hug. He didn’t even dare to wrap his arms on the smaller boy’s waist. His brain refused to work and told him to think that everything might just be a dream.

Being hugged for almost five minutes, the smaller boy finally let his body go. His hand then rested on YooChun’s chest and he leaned over to capture YooChun’s lips. Again, YooChun gulped hardly as he felt the long awaited kiss.

Smiling at the surprised man, the smaller boy broke their kiss and giggled softly. “Your face is funny, Chunnie hyung!” he teased and again hugged YooChun. “I heard everything from JaeJoong hyung…” he whispered on YooChun’s ear. “You should really talk to me…You protected me by hurting me?” he asked the stunned man.

YooChun tried hard to catch what JunSu meant by his words. Tears dropped as he now understood. Finally, he made his move to hug his beloved boy back. “JunSu…” he called, burying his face to the crook of JunSu’s neck.  “I miss you-“

JunSu rubbed his ex-boyfriend’s back gently. “I know-“ JunSu replied, “You kept secretly watching me…” JunSu pulled his body away just to get a good look at YooChun’s eyes, “Those gifts on my birthday, those cards on Christmas, those flowers on Valentine day, and the most important thing…who would send a bucket of white lily flowers to me on the 14th December every year if he’s only my secret admirer? That day is our anniversary…” JunSu pecked YooChun’s lips once again, “I didn’t mean to make you promise anything and disappear YooChun-I was…you know…angry at you at that time…” he looked down and YooChun lifted his chin so the older could look into that deep brown eyes.

“I was a fool, Su…” YooChun confessed as kissed JunSu’s lips warmly. “I was a fool…”

JunSu run his fingers to caress YooChun’s cheek, “Yes you were…” he smiled to YooChun who smiled back to him.

“Will you take this fool into your life once again, JunSu?” YooChun asked JunSu with pleading eyes.

JunSu kissed him and smiled as he nodded to the older. “Promise me you’ll talk to me if you feel any worries okay?” YooChun agreed and nodded his head. “If only I talked to you earlier…” JunSu wished as he pulled YooChun’s lips into his again.
