Oh man, I feel sick. Should be in bed by now. I'm having headaches every day, it's like my hair hurts. I want to cut my hair so badly. I'm wanting to shave the sides the day after my sister's wedding in May but after nearly a year of growing my mohawk out I don't know if I'll have the guts. But fuck it'll be such a relief to get rid of half of this

I know i've said it before, but what makes kids happier, more than anything else, is a happy mum. you dont sound like a happy mum... happy to BE a mum, but not happy.
I've lost track a bit of how old Leith is, but everything you describe sounds normal to me... i know you say he's doing the lining stuff up thing, but all the pronunciation things and other things... they all sound just like perfectly normal kids i've had or known... My nephew didnt talk AT ALL not one word out of his mouth till he was over 3. He ended up going to a special pre-school for language development, granted, but he didnt have a hearing problem and wasnt diagnosed with anything else either... he just took a really long time to learn to talk.
He's now almost 15, has been going to a normal school since i think grade 2 or 3, he's going to applecross high school, he's in year 10 and he's absolutely normal.
he's not the most outrageously outgoing kid, and he's not rebellious or angry. but he's doing fine in school, he's happy at home, and he interacts socially and well, he's just normal - if normal at 18 is 'not' going out graffiti-ing etc :)
everything you are doing is awesome, but relax and be happy is my advice. You're doing a great job, but i feel like you are making more work out of it than it needs to be. i'd really like YOU to be happy, because then HE will be.
hang in there - really. you are a GREAT mum.
