Gears start turning. Un-oiled joints start creaking. Attached Hand Starts waving excitedly. Hi!
IT LIVES!!!!
I am quite somewhere completely different now, the journal must live! Anyway, there is no possible way that I am going to try and go through all the cool stuff that happenned this summer. I'll just shorten it to steve's cottage(jet skiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, and all sorts of beach like fun), awesome grad parties, cedar point, bike trails, swimming(the fun kind!), cat food, airsoft, lifeguarding, boat rental, a cruise, a winning black jack tournament(worth $375.00), and lastly a new house(still finishin that one out), and much much more.
College is going well. Meeting tons of cool people. I know you all really really want me to list them, but NO! NOT gonna happen. So don't ask! Amazing things happen when you first move in. I forgot basic important things like soap, a cup, and worst of all a cookie tin(This item's importance will become a brutal reality when your favorite cookies go stale). Horrible disorientation followed the first couple days and all I really wanted to do was swim/play tennis/play piano cause that made me feel less out of place. That settled though, and there's been tons of fun things happening!
Highlights Include:
Me and the guy across the hall from me(Ben, cool guy, awesome at Halo(for ryan's benefit... HANO!)) playing music really loud. The part that made it awesome, he was playing Josh Grovin and I was playing the Four Seasons :). Each of us trying to sing our respective music. First reaction: Some random guy coming walking buy saying "What the F@$*". Second much better response: Girl R.A. coming by, saying that this is music that she would listen to. Afterwards, she goes and tells all the girls that we play woman music. And then! goes and tells our guy R.A. that he has women on his floor.
Me and Mark finally got a cell phone! But someone had the number before it was ours. We noticed this due to the messages that were left on the phone that were definitely not ours. One of the messages was from some judge who said at one point "I'm just glad as all hell you decided to sign with Detroit" and later "Good luck with the season." Turns out it was Red Wing Jason Williams old number. More than a little cool.
We have nice narrow halls. So we all tried to climb them and hide on the ceiling Sam Fischer style. A couple of us could do it, myself included. Mark tried to make it up later and hit his head on the ceiling, good times good times.
I brought my undefeated in chess roomate who numerous people lost to on my floor to a stalemate! So very exciting!
The old people(masters) swim team wants us!
Playing Raquetball(i'll be ready for you ryan!)Great fun
Went to a club, I am divided on this one. They play bad music 100% of the time(my opinion). It can be fun if you go with the cool people(as in cool pre-chosen guys and girls). My floor is cool people, so it was alright. The kinda people you generally meet there I'd probably avoid.(One guy behind me in line starts talking to me, asks what i drank, and refuses to believe me when i say nothing.) I think the best part was showing everyone my Michigan driver's liscence under the black light.
I don't have Friday classes! For me, it's a three day weekend every weekend!(Lots of people are amazed/jelous of that actually)
My one teacher's an overqualified insanely smart guy. We've had to read a crazy bunch of political theorists who don't talk clearly. (The one that made the most sense so far was Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto.) He's also very scary, who knows what the future will hold in there. He told us all the TRUTH about colleges n' stuff the worthless admissions people wouldn't give me at face value, and I definitely appreciate that.
I'll see all you guys this weekend, if you're coming back that is. Lookin foward to it! We're moving all the stuff into our new house. Which is a really nice patch of land. We'll be able to play airsoft, have bonfires, and swim there during summers. There's a second house on the property that my mom's sisters are eventually going to move into, but until it's rented to someone in the mean time, it's ours to do as we will! That means as loud as we want as late as we want. And Now it's Today! Earlier today I looked at my IM tennis sheet at 2:52, and found it was due at 3:00. Needless to say! I had a good time running to Perry Field House. I got to come in covered in sweat holding my sign up sheet. People laughed. And now! To the captain's meeting! I hope you're all having great times!
