an up and down day (Happy National Women's Friendship Day!!!)
So today was pretty good up until the end of the day. It started off with the fact that i had only gotten a few hours of sleep because Evy's friend decided to drive up from Cincinnati at 1 last night. Which is insane. And i highly doubt anyone would ever do that for me. At least not without a reason to...this guy...no reason. Of course I was trying to fall asleep when he arrived and after that couldn't completely fall asleep until around 530. Evy told him the Humpty Potato Butt story which...i didn't think she'd tell but yeah that's what i woke up to at 5 am. them talking about Humpty Potato Butt. Don't ask because I will not explain and if Evy explains to anyone else that i don't approve of then i will strangle her...i probably won't but the person it is about will probably get mad. Anyway i woke up at 1130 and once her friend left i took a shower and got ready for National Women's Friendship Day. Which is the third sunday of September for anyone that was wondering. Yes...that happens to be today and i can't believe September has gone by this quickly. Anyway it's a Kappa Delta thing so we had a cookout in front of the Commons. It was nice. My big planned the whole thing in a week so props to Paddy. Then Evy and i came back to attempt homework...well instead i ended up falling asleep to the music that Tyler provided me with. It's a good J-Pop cd but i guess i was just that tired fighting off this cold and shit. Anyway the music is awesome and later on he ended up showing me the dance to "Trauma" by Ayumi Hamasaki. He also introduced me to Gohk...(however the hell u spell it) and Porno Graffiti (what a great name). Then we asked Brian Cataldi and Zach to play Porno Graffiti on WUSO since Brian is the one that burned Tyler the cd. So he did and it was great. I love J-Pop music it's so awesome. It's awesome dance music and always makes me happy even though i still don't have a good enough grasp on the language to make out what the hell they r saying. Anyway once i finally woke up from my nap it was time to go to volleyball. we won a game we weren't even supposed to play and the only reason we won was because the other team had the sun in their eyes for 2 out of 3 games. So we were lucky. I served pretty well today which was good. I really miss playing volleyball. I set Glenn up a few times too so we had fun i think. Then it was off to meeting. When we got back, Tyler came by and showed us his dance and then i called my mom. This is when everything went kinda down hill. I found out my mom is having surgery before i come home for fall break. So now I absolutely have to go home for fall break. I guess i'm just upset that she didn't tell me sooner. She had found out on Friday and i know i would've been upset that she was having surgery but now i'm just even more upset that she didn't tell me. oh well.
Tomorrow i have a test in Geology...i think. Either way i'm screwed because i can't remember minerals and igneous rocks and shit. it may not be the lab quiz where i actually have to pick them out and stuff but i'm going to go insane. Zorn and i were never able to get together, which sucks. Hopefully we'll be able to get together before the lab quiz but i don't have my syllabus....i lost it somewhere so i don't even know when things r. Plus tomorrow i have a quiz in Chinese over the vocabulary and that means English meaning, Pinyin...which is like english writing and intonation markings, and then the characters. yeah...going insane. Also Rush starts tomorrow. Luckily our house doesn't have our sisterhood events until tuesday and friday. So i'll get a day to chill out. I'm excited. I want to get a bunch of girls in our house. 2 in particular but i'm sure i'll want more once i meet them all. Also, Catriona's program for her section of the hall is tomorrow. it's Poker night. Tricia and I thought of it when we were at Applebees. we thought it'd be fun b/c guys are always getting together to play poker and Tricia and I want to play but we don't have anyone to play with. Oh well it'd be fun, but Catriona will kill me if i don't show. lol. Well that's it for tonight. Back to studying Chinese. ja ne!!
