So here I am, in Brooklyn. Bizarre experiences continue. I get off of the 3:43 train at exactly 4:41, and make my way onto the subway, take the C on the advice of a conductor.. and end up on the opposite side of Brooklyn. The train breaks down, and I approach a black conductor that was conversing in fluid Japanese to an elder lady who was obviously lost and somewhat scared. It turns out I had to get to Avenue U and she had to get to Avenue N. Lost, we boarded another train, I took the advice of two nice ladies, went to Jay St. Instead of taking their confusing advice, I proceeded to take the B41. I had no silver for the ride, the bus operator let me on for free. I made sure the old lady got to where she had to be -- the bus operator made a special stop just for her. She couldn't speak a word of English, so, she neatly removed two cigarettes from her pack, pocketed them, pressed the rest of her Lucky Panda Cigarettes into my hand, patted my head, and left. The operator was so kind to me. He taked to me throughout the 2-hour long ride, and he gave me a transfer on top of letting me on for free.
And then, I finally reach Olga. We hugged and chatted and went out to eat some delicious sushi. We got Green Salad, Nori Soup, Fried Banana Roll, Kappa Maki, and Boston Roll. (Kappa Maki because its vegetarian, Banana Roll because it makes your mouth taste 40 different things at once, and Boston Roll because thats where I want to go for college). As I sit here typing this, I'm eating the leftovers for breakfast, with pickles and some peach iced tea.
Today: I'm going to get ready, have lunch with Olga, go to my old neighbourhood, come home, dinner with Olga, as she is in the mood for shrimp.
I forgot the batteries for my charger, so after walking with Olga to her job, I bought some. Lotsa pictures. I wish I had a phone, I wanted my dad to talk to all of our old friends at Bay Ridge.
