Hmm...it seems as though this set of illustrations might not be accurate anymore, since Mr. Stoneface has begun working on a sphere watch to go with the guard...but either way, it's good to know who to look for in a crisis, or if someone starts a fight in Smoke's bar.
The guard (and probably the watch soon?) does a lot of important work, making sure the cocoons are all right in the hatchery, and helping to keep everyone safe during crises.
Bastet does a very good job as the captain. She definitely does not have a harem. Mr. Stoneface was her second in command, but I guess he'll be in charge of the watch now, perhaps I should have drawn another set...well, he's good at both guarding and watching, I assume.
The rest of the guard works hard to stop giant ants, zombies, rude people who think it's okay to grope others, that sort of thing. Remember they're here for you if you need them.
