So, first of all, I forgot to mention that yesterday night I talked to Dan Shea about his stunt work on Psych. I asked him how it was working on a comedy and if the actors liked doing their own stunts. This is what he said:
Dule Hill (aka Burton Guster) is the one who wants to do all the stunts (even the ones they won't let him do to safety reasons). He especially likes driving (and is good at it too!). Also, Dan mentioned the tap-dancing episode and said that he was amazed and how good Dule was and that he and the tap-dancing instructor were constantly dancing off-camera improvising.
James Roday (aka Shawn Spencer) likes doing some stunts, but he doesn't like doing as many as Dule Hill.
Maggie Lawson (aka Juliet O'Hara) would prefer not doing any of them. lol He said there is a scene where she and Lassiter are driving and they have to drive on the side of the hill and the director wanted a close-up (which meant she had to be in the car) and she wasn't a big fan.
Dan said he also liked being on a comedy show because there was more variety in stunts whereas (while he loved Stargate), you "blew up the same Jaffa 10 thousand times."
In other news, I learned that there are some very vocal women at this event. The lady beside me feels the need to voice her opinion on everything and some woman in the back of me is doing one of those obnoxious WOOOOO every time Rick enters or exits.
People who come onto an elevator crying and sniffling makes a group elevator ride awkward. Especially when said person usually walks around with stuffed iguanas most of the time.
Also, the lady who runs the event is very power-assertive, even over RDA himself. Weird to see and I don't know if he appreciates it or not. We'll see.
Also, Also.. I like Stargate Universe, even if all you old people in the convention audience do not. It's different, get over it. :|
PS (not also) It's going to be fun when Amanda shows up at the auction tomorrow (but shhhh, it's a secret >.>)
