New York

So!

We went to the city and before we went to the King Tut exhibit, Jay and I decided to go to the NBC store (which, btw, has many cool things to buy like a ton of Chuck things.. including Buy More employee gear! and Psych items). Anyways, as I was browsing (and trying to avoid any potential bed bug contagions) and this girl came up to us and asked us if we wanted to see Jimmy Fallon's monologue (he practices it in front of a small audience to see what goes on the air and doesn't.) So we did! The set is much smaller than it looks on tv, but the seats are comfortable and it was the first time I was ever in a 'studio audience' even though they weren't taping. And he was funny! And it was neat because we met some of the monologue writers too (who are funny). He also went through this new segment where he did hashtags on twitter. It was cool.

So that happened.

And then we watched it again on tv just now lol

Anyways. The King Tut exhibit in Time Square was really interesting. They have some very neat artifacts, though they give the impression that the actually mummy is there when it's an exact replica of the mummy. Still, the exhibit took 2 hours, so it was worth it. That, and we had New York Pizza (finally!) at John's Pizzeria. SO GOOD. Then ice cream at The Shake Shake. Good too.

Over all, today was great. :)

good day, outings, dating, jay
