Yesterday was a rough day flying into Seattle. That leg from IAD to SEA was allmost 6 hours long. Add to that a chorus of screaming babies, having to take the middle seat and one of them was very fidgety. Back was not happy by the time we got into Seattle.
Getting checked into my corporate apartment was a challenge. The parking spot was no where near where it would said it would be, at one point my access cards wee not working and I could not get to my car or my floor. Fun times. It's very cool to be staying in the middle of downtown Bellevue. Restaurants at every corner, grocery store is only a few blocks away and the apartment itself is very nice. Unfortunately, the TV is dead, the wireless is still all screwed up and I'm racking up more 3G time on my iPad. At least I have one and I've been using the hell out of it getting stuff done.
Lots of accomplishments today with getting my drivers' license (took 2 hours (yay for iPad again)), got my new accounts setup with BECU and got more staples purchased for the apartment. Fantastic weather here with a low this moprning of 56 and fog and a high of 74 and clear skies.
Mom, dad and brother are still working on the finishing touches on the house. Just painting to touch-up, roofers come tomorrow and the new carpet gets installed tomorrow too. We should be able to have the house on the market by Wednesday I think.
Overall, this is a huge and refreshing change for me. I'm completely out of my comfort zone..., and loving it.
