Weekend update
Friday night I worked late and crashed at home. I turned off the front light and tended to my headache. Fortunately, trick and treaters respected the "light off" policy. 400mg of ibuprofen later I was good again and headed out to a party with Jay and Barry. Had a really good time out there and crawled into bed around 0330.
Awoke late this morning to find out Vonage was dead. Apparently it died yesterday at 1700 cutting off my weather station from the Internet--grrrr. Need to find a good way to monitor that.
Started off Saturday with a brunch with my brother, niece and nephew for some tasty food. It was good hanging out with them for a change. When I got home I had errands to do. Stopped off first at University Lights to check out more lighting for the kitchen dining area. Got some more ideas to help narrow down what I really want and will think about it some more. I had no idea I would spending this much on just lighting. The stuff from Home Depot and Lowe's is just really cheap stuff.
Next, I was off to Lowe's for countertops. I already planned out what I wanted and had enough good reports to use Lowe's to do this. I ended up with quartz at a very reasonable price. So, I should have new countertops in less than 2 weeks. This will be awesome when this is in place. Need to remember to take some pictures for before and after.
Clocks are set back an hour in preparation for the end of daylight saving time tonight and ready for bed.
