Weekend update and Josh Blue last night
I had a productive Saturday getting errands done. Needed a new jacket from Kohl's (zipper on old jacket broke, but was still able to return to Kohl's) and got one I really liked from Columbia (and a much better zipper). I must say, there is something to be said for the quality of YKK zippers--everything else is crap. Needed new bed sheets for the guest room as the current ones were worn so thin you could see through them--not good. So, thanks to another 20% off coupon from Bed, Bath and Beyond.
arktosnc called me yesterday afternoon while I was doing errands and stuff and asked if I wanted to go see Josh Blue last night. He had an extra ticket and curtimack would be with us. Grabbed some food at Bull McCabe's (used to be Joe and Jo's) and then walked over to Carolina Theater.
I had no idea he had a disability (or who the person was) until he stepped on stage. So many of his jokes and routine points fun at his own disabilities and it was hilarious. He's very talented and can definitely think on his feet. He even had a Q&A session where people in the audience could yell out questions and he would answer them seriously or sarcastically depending on what popped into his head. Definitely worth seeing if he comes to your town.
Got home around 2300 last night with a terrible headache. I did take some ibuprofen earlier, but it was having zero impact. I finally crawled into bed and was good as new this morning. I don't know what hit me so hard last night. Headed out to see the family this evening (parents and all of healingdrysuits family for pizza and stuff. I might finally get the Christmas 2006 video burned to DVD as I work around an audio glitch in Final Cut Express.
