I will edit this every week until ~August 16th when I reach my goal weight! =)
December 17, 2011: n__n Did well this week! Need to eat more calcium, protein, iron + fiber still, though...
December 24, 2011: I've been over my weight loss goal range this week (visiting my parents and they keep insisting I eat dessert with every flipping meal), but I've been under my maintenance number at least.
December 31, 2011: I quit tracking this week since I did so badly (after x-mas pie leftovers -__- )
January 7th, 2012: I did not track, but resumed 'normal' eating patterns- not dieting, not horking it down.
January 14th, 2012: Started tracking again and went to the gym twice (planning on going Sunday as well). Kept my calories in my range, but at the higher end: 1400-1500 cals a day. I think it's okay since I'm just getting back into routine. :) Doing great on protein, iron, and calcium.
My reason for going to the gym isn't really for my weight loss goal yet (I still eat the same amount whether I work out or not), I have to be a better runner! Once I can run a few miles without getting tuckered out, it'll be easier to burn more calories in one go. :D
January 21st, 2012- March 22th: Too busy, I couldn't track! :(
March 25th: I did well for the three days this week I tracked, staying between 1200 and 1300. I found out that Boca patties are half the calories that Morningstar veggie burgers are! ^___^ That means I can have a sandwich and some light chocolate milk for only 250 calories!
I also wore lolita a few times, even though my legs make me self conscious.
March 31st: I stayed on track all week! Didn't have time to dress in lolita this week, though... Too many exams. I hardly had time to shower!
I got my Bodymedia armband in the mail today. It estimated that I burned 2300 calories today... I'm a little wary of trusting that number, though. The only 'exercise' I did today was sewing (max 100 calories!), so how could I have burned 500 calories more than my BMR today? It's also recommending that I eat 1400 calories a day instead of 1200...
I guess I'll see how the next few days go. I've heard that sometimes the calories burned estimate can be high on the first day.
Here's my results shown from my second day of the armband! I went to the gym that day, but mostly rested.
Some people are saying that having a 1000 calorie deficit is bad for people in a healthy BMI zone... but if I have 35 lbs to lose, and my body can burn 30 cals max from each lb daily, then that's 1050 calories. I think I should be fine for now. :D
April 7th: I've stayed perfectly on track all week! This armband really keeps me in check. It's hard to resist weighing myself since I really want to visually see that I've lost a pound, but I know that until at least 3 weeks pass it will be difficult to distinguish between fat loss and water weight varying.
I wore a very sweet outfit on Easter since my mom was visiting for lunch. :) I was feeling confident. The first sunny day in a long time!
April 14th: I can't tell if I'm losing weight or not... My weight varies by almost 3 pounds every day. I've been on track all week, so I should be losing still! :)
I sort of want to get a scale that can (in a not very accurate way) measure body fat, so I don't get confused if I end up gaining weight from muscle in the future.
April 21st: I've been mostly on track. Not as good lately... I keep sneaking in an extra 100 calories at the end of the day. I need to make sure I'm not sabotaging myself! I will try harder next week. :) I'm starting to walk home from class in the afternoons since it's sunnier out. I need to wear a lot of sunscreen!
April 28th-May 12th: Time passes so quickly! My armband says I need to cut down my intake even more now that I've lost a little weight... Guess I'm having a salad for dinner every night now. ^^;
May 19th-26th: I've done great recently. I started doing P90 on Tuesday (05/22). My muscles ached for two days but I'm already recovered despite working out still... I think my 3 lb weights must be a little light.
ALSO! I'm pretty sure I got a job at a bookstore. They want me to do a drug screening, and collect some "paperwork." Hopefully that means they plan on hiring me. :D
June 2nd:
Got the jo-obbb! Now to determine if I should spend or save my paychecks.... *__*
On the weight loss side of things, my weight has stayed stagnant. I have been continuing to work out every day though. Fairly consistent with 750 cal/day deficit.
Went for a walk... Not the most flattering tights, I've decided.
