Camp
Well I went to this band camp at West Chester U for a week, and it was really really cool. Monday and Tuesday were only for section leaders/drum majors. The speaker, Dr. Tim, was AMAZING! He was the best speaker I have ever heard, and he made 3 hour sessions go by in like 1 hour. And he said so many good ideas and had so much to say about we can take home to our bands, so it was pretty much amazing. We also did marching techniques with this other guy, George Parks, who is like the head honcho for the marching portion of marching band.
Then Wednesday-Saturday is when everyone from band could come. A lot of people from the beginning stayed so that helped out with some of the discipline needed for the new people. The band people learned a 10-set drill with a full song, and we had to memorize it in 2 days. It was a little challenging, but we got it done.
There is really soooo much to tell, but I could not even know where to start with putting it all down. Oh, I did have an awesome roommate, which was amazing because I didn't know anyone and I got someone who I could really get along with.
