So my mom signed me up to do this training with the Cadets and their instructors and stuff, and it was so cool! When we first started to play our warm up stuff, I realized that I couldn't play my piccolo at all. I was almost in tears when I thought that I just couldn't play at all anymore. So I asked this one guy if he knew anyone who could fix it, and someone did. :DDD I was so so so happy that I was able to play after that. We did more workshops, we took a big tour around all of their equipment and trucks, which was really interesting to see.
We did a "show and tell" at the end to pretty much just play what we learned and stuff. Kaitlyn went because she apparently signed up for color guard, so that was gay. She wouldn't even go and perform at the end because the thought that she sucked too much. I really don't like the fact that she is doing marching band, for a couple reasons:
1) She hates it. I think the only reason she is doing it is to go on all the cool trips that we go on.
2) She isn't good at it.
3) Marching Band is my thing. I absolutely love it, and I loved to say that I was the only one in my family who did it. She has her horses, and I have band. I just wish it was still like that.
Anyway, there is a show after all the clinics and stuff that is open to all the people, and all the famous drum corps play. I was so happy to hear that the Reinsmith's were going to come up! (well, except Harlan...he wanted to stay home) I felt so much better about me and Jake because it was casual, but we were also holding hands, flirting, and just bonding more...I liked it. :]
We got home at 12:30, and then I had to take a shower because I felt so gross. And then I didn't get up today until about noon. It felt really good to sleep that long.
