Marching practice. Come on, you think I have another life or something?

4. What you look forward to all year long, and you even love marching in the mud, the rain, and the blazing hot sun at band camp.

7. Getting naked in front of everyone and loving it.

10. Something to actually be proud of, since we work harder than the football team, probably win more awards, and we have more fun. Plus, it's one of the only sports that has boys and girls. You can never go wrong with that.

6. In marching band you usually participate in the following: competitions, halfime performances, practices, 3 hour bus rides, and parades.
7. Your excuse for not doing homework.
8. Where you also learn leadership, how to work with others, how to have fun, and how to work hard, even if your sick and feel like your going to faint.
9. Your salvation after dealing with all of your other classes every day.
10. Going to band camp.

Colorguard means spending every waking hour trying to improve each toss, becoming more emotional, hearing your guard instructor yell at you at the top of his lungs"Focus!Detail!Expression!Techni que!"It about loving what you do, with the people you people you love-your guard family, a sisterhood(or family-depending of weather there is a guard boy) it's being everything you want to be in that moment-when your on the floor. It's our life, it's our love, it's our family, it's us......

A group of people, also known as a drill team or dance team, who add visual flair to a marching band. They are most often associated with flags, which they often march with and twirl. However, many groups also dance, and some schools' colorguards twirl other interesting objects such as rifles, chain flags, etc.
These groups also often wear fairly skintight or showy uniforms (but still in many cases modest compared to the cheerleaders), and they may wear a lot of makeup and glitter so that their faces are not washed out under the lights on a football field. These performers enhance the band's music with their routines and make halftime shows much more interesting.
