(no subject)
Egad, it's been awhile since I updated. Last week was insane. I had so many meetings & craziness going on. Especially Thursday; that was meeting central! I had to stay all day to meet with my ESL group (I usually skip these meetings since contractually I only have to go to 2/3 of all faculty meetings). ESL=Expectations for Student Learning; it's like standards board, & I'm on the "Writing" committee. Anyway, I had to go because I had to do my presentation. It actually went well. Even the arrogant & condescending among the group were grudgingly impressed. So that was good, but uber long (12:00-3:30). Then I got rooked into attending a meeting in Mike's place at the Flynn for Lead Teacher Advisory Panel. Basically selecting all the plays the Flynn is going to show for the rest of the year for matinees (since teachers take kids for field trips if the plays relate to the curriculum). That went from 4:00 to 6:30. I was so exhausted by the time I got home!
Oh yeah, & I also got pulled over for the first time Thursday. Two feet from school. I was going 39 in a 25. Kids saw. It was great. The only good thing was I got a warning & not a ticket, but the dipshit couldn't read & said my insurance expired in January (it says "Expires last day of JUL 2006" on it!) so now I have to bring them a copy. Even though it's the same one he saw!
What else? I did a ton of work this weekend. Housework, schoolwork, etc. It was nuts.
