Prank phone calls at work make me smile.
(ring ring)
Me: Liberty Mutual, this is Lauren, How can I help you?
Cono: Yes. Hi. We spoke last week.
Me: Ok. Who is this?
Cono: This is John Gonzalez. We spoke last week.
Me: I don't believe we did, can I have your claim number?
Cono: I don't have it with me right now.
Me: Ok, that's fine. Can I have your social security number?
Cono: I do not feel comfortable giving out that information.
Lauren: Ok. Let me find you by your name.
Cono: Actually I am not sure if you were the person I was speaking with last week.
Lauren: Were you speaking with Laura?
Cono: No. I was trying to get connected to extension 2519.
Me: Well this is extension 2159. I do not believe anyone has that extension in this office, so let me just find you in the system and I will connect you to who you need to speak with. Unless there is something I can help you with?
Cono: Well if you are not the person I am supposed to be speaking with, I do not think it's appropriate for me to discuss my severed finger with you, now is it?!?!
Lauren: I understand. Ok, I believe I found you, was your accident in 1999?
Cono: NO IT WAS IN 2001!!
Lauren: Ok well maybe I spelled your name wrong. How do you spell Gonzalez?
Cono: How do YOU think it's spelled?
Lauren: G-O-N-Z-A-L-E-Z?
Cono: Well yea obviously...that's correct.
Lauren: Ok sir, I am just trying to help you.
Cono: HHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
Lauren: Cono?
