So, being a rabid Edward Gorey fan, I feel ashamed that I'm posting this link so late in its popularity. But at least I finally discovered it, and am spreading the joy.

In other news, Prime Minister Abe resigned today. The biggest impression around the country seems to be shock. And the question of "Why?" Mind you, it's not "Why did he resign?" but "Why now?" The calls for it had been building for a while, and everyone thought he would after the election - but he didn't. On Monday, he even gave a speech where he seemed resolve to stay and work it out. I wonder what happened on Tuesday to change his mind? But I feel a little bad for Abe. Not all of what happened during his less-than-a-year term was his fault. Most of it just seems to have been the worst run of political luck ever.
Busy rest of the week ahead. Going to bake cookies tomorrow if I can (Yabukawa deserves cookies), clean on Friday evening, and there's still the remainder of my elementary school planning to get done. But then: THREE DAY WEEKEND!
