Camping and other exciting tidbits! :P
I am so bad at updating this now. Haha, but then again, so are half the people on my list. :P This is for the half of you still active in LJ!
Last weekend was a long weekend, and I spent four days away with the guys! I had a wonderful time and it was fun camping out for the second time in my life. The first time was awful, but I have learnt that it really comes down to the company you keep, and how much alcohol you have to drink. It's much easier to be less phazed about the following when you are pissed.
*BUGS!!!!!!!!! Why are there so many fucking creepy crawling insects outdoors?
*Sleeping bags. It's like being trapped in a cotton or polyester cocoon.
*Lack of privacy. You have to love communal showers.
*Dirty toilets. Anyone on my list for a reasonable time knows about my hatred for dirty toilets.
*Sand. It gets everywhere and into everything. I mean everything.
*Limited or no power. I never thought sitting and laying in the dark could be so much fun.
*Dirty laundary. I did mention i went camping with four guys, right?
*Farting contests. i did mention i went camping with four guys, right?
*Having all sorts of disgusting things done to and put on/over me. I did mention I went camping with four guys, right?
All joking aside, I did have a wonderful time. I wasn't totally straight for most of it, but that's why I probably had a great time. Jo was supposed to come so I could have some female company, but in the end, I'm glad she didn't. Of course Dobby was there, so it wasn't all good. haha. You know i love ya babe. If you believe that, you will believe anything.
What else to update about? I have been working my little arse off the past few weeks, but starting from next week, I will be having every second Wednesday off. I will also be working a "half" day every other Wednesday, so I will try to update this journal once a week from now on. Don't expect riveting entries all the time though. There are a few of you who always comment and update, and soon I will reward you with a personal filtered post to show my appreciation. As soon as I can think of something unique and relevant to suit each one of you. You have my word.
Well it's Friday and I'm debating whether to stay in and join the guys and some friends for a drink and BBQ, or get dressed up and go out with some girlfriends. I'm leaning towards the former option because I can't be bothered doing my hair and make up for over an hour. Well it is 34 degrees and I'm comfy in my shorts and singlet top.
P.S I'm really sorry to rub that in to my friends from the Northern Hemisphere. Muhahahaha. ;-)
