I think I may have found the best subscription box ever...

So, readers, I've tried out several subscription boxes lately - using three month trials to see if they're for me or not, and so far none of them have been. But with the one I'm about to show you, I really struck gold. It's from Prudence and the Crow, who are based in London but who also ship to the rest of Europe as well as Norway, Canada, the US, Australia and New Zealand - in case any of you are tempted! You let them know what your tastes are, and they hand select a vintage book for you - but that's not all. A gorgeous little box, literally small enough to fit through a letterbox, arrived this morning, with a handwritten address label no less - and look what was inside -

A handmade book bag

Tea and a couple of sweets

A pencil

These two sweet little bookmarks, which I think are also vintage judging by the slight fading

A library card! How cool is this?

A tiny greeting card

All my goodies, together with the vintage book that was selected for me - a murder mystery called 'The Illusionist'. I don't know how these people do it, but I'm thrilled to bits with what they sent - it was honestly like getting a gift from a friend, and I am definitely extending my subscription after the three months is up.

PS: If any of you are interested in checking them out, you can find them at http://www.prudenceandthecrow.com/.
