So, Friday I got a voice message from a homebuilder's company here in Waco, while I was driving to my parents' house for the weekend. Once I got to my parents' house, I listened to the voice mail again. Or atleast attempted many times, since my piece of shit phone likes to freeze up. Needless to say, I eventually got the number to contact and got ahold of the gentleman who called me 30 minutes later. He's conducting a group interview tomorrow in the afternoon, but I told him that I couldn't make it because I had to work in the afternoon. Therefore, he made an exception for me and I'll be meeting with them at 9am tomorrow. I'm so excited and anxious, because this could very well be a job that I've been looking for. Sure it's not an interior design firm, but I've been wanting to participate in home design.
If I get this job, it would be so much more perfect than any other job I was looking for. Because I was possibly going to see if I can get a clerical job so I could go back to college to get refresher courses in AutoCAD. An 8-5 job, would definitely allow for that. An ironic thing, if you will, also on Friday, I was surprised with an out of the blue interview with my store manager. It took me a few moments to realize what I was interviewing for, because I had applied for two different things within the company. One was a position for consideration in kitchen cabinets and for the hell of it, department manager position. Well, turned out I was applying for the department manager position. I nearly forgot that I applied for that position, and thought they ended up not considering me for it. Now, given, I'm not really wanting that position, but whatever gets me off the front end. It will be something to look forward to, if, unfortunately, I do not get the opportunity to be hired on by the homebuilder's company. A downside, however, is I still wouldn't be able to go back to school and have even more responsibilities.
That's pretty much an update on my job life thus far. On my personal life, let's just say in recent days, I've come to realize that men are not as simple as they say they are. It is, in fact, an unproven fact that men are just as complicated as women.
