Well, that wasn't completely unexpected!

Still trying to get practicum hours. I really don’t want to reschedule this class again. Unfortunately without practicum, I will fail the class. It’s better to not post and reschedule than to fail. The upside being that if I don’t post and reschedule then I don’t lose any tuition. The downside being that if I can’t find hours I take an unscheduled break that will eat up some of my grace period after I graduate. I left my professor a message; hopefully she gets back to me. I need to call my advisor too, but she’s not in the office until nine (emailed both of them).

On an upside, I got everything backed up. Yay.

After three weeks of trying, I was finally thwarted. I was unable to commit to practicum despite trying and trying to find somewhere to do hours. I am now on vacation until July 18. I can get hours a lot better then (since school starts up again August 13). If I had tried this term I would end up way too far behind and my advisor and I didn’t want that. Right now it looks like I’ll have to double up as soon as I go back to classes to keep schedule (meaning student teach in January). My advisor is checking my financials to make sure I can do that, as I may not be able too. Which would mean I have to do my student teaching in fall of 2014.

So while I’m on vacation, I’m going to be doing a lot of things around the house! For instance, painting part of the roof. I’ve never done it before, so that should be an interesting experience!

I’m also going to make some butterflies for Dad’s office. Because! 1) I can, 2) I have the supplies handy, 3) it’s fun, 4) I have not contributed to the art of his office yet. Mostly the first reason though.

school: gcu, vacation, dad, school: teaching
