Other than that, yesterday I beat Atelier Annie. It was a cute game, but not as in-depth as the Atelier Arland series (maybe I’m bias). I enjoyed it but I felt it was extremely easy. Probably because I’m familiar with the game mechanics. The sprites are absolutely adorable though! I think over all, the story isn’t very memorable and it feels as though the game is targeted at a younger audience. It was sillier than anything, which isn’t bad, but I got tired of it after a while.
Anyways, I started up Final Fantasy IV: The After Years last night after dinner. I must say it seems oddly fast paced while being vague. Some things are terribly obvious, Hooded Man for instance; others are extremely vague, Mysterious Girl, what happened to Cecil. Obviously something is wrong but no explanation; not that I expect one right away, but the things that are happening seem barely connected but all have to do with the Mysterious Girl. The battle system works like normal, so that’s not bad. The moon phases are kind of annoying, though! And monsters, even for our level seem to be awkwardly strong even when the moon phase doesn’t favor physical attacks despite the fact that I have kept up with the newest weapons and armor. We are in Kaipo currently heading towards the waterway to get away from Baron.
“Why didn’t you wake me up,” I huff pulling out the laundry from the dryer, attempting to find one shirt in a million in the dark. I grumble about how it’s almost five and I have little time to eat and get out the door to be to the school on time.
“You have an alarm for that,” Sy answers as he flips on the light making my futile search much more successful.
“You knew I needed to be up early to go on that field trip!” I pull on the white t-shirt, half exhausted.
“You’ve still got time.”
“Barely,” I groan as I look at my watch. It reads 4:20 AM. “Wait. What time is it?”
“4:20,” he says as he grabs my wrist to look at the watch.
“Alarm said 4:45.”
“Oh,” he chuckles. “That reminds me, my alarm doesn’t keep time very well. It’s about 20 minutes fast.”
My mouth snaps shut.
“What,” he shrugs. “You’re up like you wanted to be.” /dream
