Writing Updates:Doomtrain - Who Am I Living For?

I love this game just for the fact that it’s Ys. But I’m also mad at it. It’s a love hate relationship right now.
Ah, Adol! He has the worst luck with ships and it cracks me up. I do love seeing Dogi running around with him. Maybe one day “Wall Crusher” will be a common name. Sorry, Dogi, I really don’t think that’s gonna happen! Anyways, it’s fairly easy to navigate and run around. It’s an interesting concept that everyone has a different attack type. Not sure I like it, but, it makes sense. I miss my Emelas swords. There’s a little girl selling flowers (Aeris much?!). Anyways, bought a flower. Her sister is thankful. If you talk to a man in old town he mentions a flower girl by the name of Eris or Iris, or something. It really made me chucke.
Not a big fan of Tia or Aisha. Tia’s a flower girl who can’t do anything on her own, she has a little sister who can’t talk and she’d do anything for. She’s a lot of a damsel in distress which really annoys me. At least Aeris could fight! As for Aisha she’s your basic arrogant princess who runs away to see what’s going on in the world with her own eyes. Sees how wrong she was and joins the party better for the experience.
But Cruxie and Mishera are both pretty cool. Cruxie’s a small girl with a giant hammer. XD It makes me chuckle. She joins the party for a fairly decent reason (and I won’t spoil it). And Mishera is the blind eldress of Kylos. She can change people’s memories. She saved us from some dragon knights. She reads the wind and has a sixth sense. I really like her. She’s also very calm and supportive.
Got Geis, so I was happy about that. Surprised his weapon was slash type instead of pierce though. But who cares~! He got a scythe later that made me really happy. He tries to be tough (same as in VI) but he’s really not. I think that’s even more so because Ciarius can talk him into pretty much anything.
Predictable plot was fairly predictable. But I don’t think it took from the overall story. I found some things to be much too easy to tell. Like whom the main bad guy was. And who was the flunky, too easy. I suppose its not supposed to be too difficult. I do like that it explained how Geis was able to use talismans and charms in Ys:VI though!
Plot wise, basically we get sent to check on an old monument and end up having to save the dragons and then the world. Adol’s the dragon warrior now and Geis is pretty peeved about it. Always playing second fiddle. XD He’s always commenting that Adol and Dogi are idiots too. Even though, Geis was originally gunning to be the Dragon Warrior. Now that he knows what it entails he’s like “Ugh, we’re all idiots but Adol’s the biggest.”
I love Geis’s boat. Same as in Ys:VI. xD It’s like a washtub, or it might as well be one.
I was having some troubles with the last boss. So I went and raised some levels and got everyone’s best armor and weapons. That made it a lot easier. I got about four or five levels and it really made all the difference. In fact after that the battle was much easier. Adol and Geis were level 66. Mishera was 65. Dogi, Aisha, Elk, and Cruxie were around 61 and 62.
[spoilers]Though Tia secretly being the Iskan elder and set on destroying the world made me rage. I mean WHAT THE HELL. I feel no sympathy for you. You’re doing it for Maya? You’re doing it for yourself. So shut up. And Scias, you can go away. I’m sick of you! You framed me and tried to kill me! DON’T YOU KNOW THAT I’M THE CHAMPION OF THE COLISEUM?!
Also screw you. We spent all that time getting you out safely! You left your sister anyways?! UGH. RAGE. Go away Tia. I mean seriously. I could have forgiven you for everything. But making your little sister cry is unacceptable! Yay for breaking the order and leaving the world up to humans!
I do like that Adol stayed to help rebuild and then moved onto his next adventure. :D

Then I started up Dragon Quest IX! :D I got to create my character~! I’m so happy about that, blonde, grey eyes. Yay. I’m a guardian angel. I have a fan. Love it!
Although I lose my wings and halo (not really a spoiler). Sadness. I still get to be awesome and help people out. I made characters for Cherri and Tako in my party. They’re helping me. And actually it seems like I can play wirelessly with Tako. So when I see her next, we’re planning on doing that!
I’m a minstrel with a fan. I have two spells: heal and crack (ice). I LOVE IT. xD Actually I might also have evac. But the only two I use are heal and ice. I’m still low level but I’m really enjoying it.
Peer Pressure~! :D I started with Piplup. AND! I caught an Abra~! How do my Pokémon get experience if I can’t battle? I added Mikari and Cherri to my Pal Pad.
