Writing Updates: It Can’t be Helped - Shinra Chronicles

I’m feeling lazy today. What a way to ring in the new year! I was going to work on Dragon Song but it’s kind of a depressing idea right now. Like I know what’s going to happen and I just don’t feel like writing that particular scene. I also refuse to extend it beyond my outline ideas. SO. It shall wait. But that’s okay because right now it’s kind of a softer point.

Besides, when was the last time I actually worked on Shinra Chronicles. shhh Mikari

Also tomorrow is Pengtwin's birthday. :D <3

Abara - Nihei Tsutomu - Read It Here:
Blood. Monsters. Guns. Explosions. I sure know how to pick ‘em. X3 Well the monsters weren’t really monsters but it is the best way to describe them. There wasn’t a whole lot of dialogue so I guess most of it was left up too interpretation. Maybe I ought to try and find it at the book store or something. Overall, I did enjoy it. But, I have a tendency to like bloody things. O.o; Interesting concept though - with your spine (I guess it is) turning into full (nearly invincible) body armor. The art style actually makes me think of Pengtwin. :o

Alive! - Takahashi Tsutomu - Read It Here:
"This series may contain strong language, excessive violence, nudity and/or lots of blood and gore. Parental guidance is advised." <- Quoting the site. XD; Awesome. And actually I think Abara was bloodier? Well whatever it had a pretty decent story in the middle. And it was kind of odd in a way but I hadn’t imagined the guy would have had that tough of a spirit. In summary it’s a story about life and death and the choice we have to live or die.

Allumage - Okamoto Lynn - Read It Here:
This is actually a cute little manga about a girl who wants to be an actress and ends up risking her life instead. And despite the lack of blood, gore, or really violence - this was really good. Also I think it was my favorite of all three I read tonight.

writing, manga, writing: shinra chronicles, pengtwin
