To start, thank you to everyone who responded to my testy divorce post.
It was an annoying day, overall. I was supposed to get a call today telling me if I was awarded the job I interviewed for last week, and the call never came. So I was kind of watching the phone after 10AM, until lunch, after 1pm, at 2pm, then 3pm, and then I stared at it for about 45 minutes (when I wasn't actually driving) and the whole time it managed not to ring one time.
I didn't have enough coffee this morning either, and that always lends kind of a dark and surreal tone to the day. Especially if it's a rainy one. So when I got home I made a small pot of coffee and now I am sitting here chatting with Crow. The Norman called while I was chatting with kira_baranova to tell me we're not going to practice in Seattle, which is good, because I wasn't going anyway so I would have time to make my new vambraces. I took a shot to the arm/elbow at the 12th Night practice that gave me an enormous and impressive bruise where my elbow/vambrace had shifted. The bruise is gone, but the flesh still hurts. No more of that for me. Especially since I have to fight great sword at the war moot. We don't have time to finish my new shield.
Oh! I have a new shield! Yay!
The Lovely Wife called me and said, "How about hamburgers for dinner?"
