a great trend broken

All right, I was at about 2 weeks with no headaches... until today. *sigh*

Came on sort of in the morning, with a teaser/shadow headache giving me a hint about what was coming last night. It wasn't terrible in the morning, and I made it to about 4pm with no medicine. Then, it got bad... motion sickness in the car on the way home from looking at our second choice apartment... So I took 2 Excedrin Tension Headache (TH has  more acetaminophen in it than Excedrin Migraine, and I don't have any E. M right now :-P ) They had no effect even after a couple hours. So, I took an Axert and went back to bed. About two hours later, Steven and I were enjoying our pizza and cheese sticks and my headache went away. Not sure if it was the Axert or the nauseatingly perfect posture I held myself in while eating. (it's helped ease "shadow headaches" before, so it's a viable theory) And naturally, spending time with Steven always eases whatever ailment I'm experiencing :)

--Left side of head, *not* the normal "migraine" location. Mostly in the front quadrant, sometimes a needle pain above my eyebrow/ in the left middle of my forehead. Sometimes bouncing back to the area where neck meets skull.
--interesting note: while laying down, I noticed significant tension in my neck. I found myself having to consciously relax my neck even while laying in our incredibly comfortable bed. This was certainly abnormal. But the last monstrous headache I had involved a similar neck muscle issue... hm.

le sigh. So, current record is 2 weeks no headaches. Much improvement over my previous 4-5 days between attacks just before I started the chiropractic thing. I think today's headache may have been my regular pre-period headache, and I will confirm that theory if I have no more headaches in the next week. We will see.
