Wow! You're really moving there, Courtney? That's amazing! What are you going to be doing there?

Hmmmmm, four books, huh? I think I'd choose Ender's Game, because the ethics and philosophy in that book would keep me entertained for a while, plus sheer badassery and of course entertainment value. Then I'd have to say a Harry Potter book, just because I'm nothing if not predictable (and also a big big nerd), and I would probably choose the third book, because of the awesome that is Sirius and Remus. Then, hmmmm, Milton's Paradise Lost, because it really dense but has been highly recommended- I keep meaning to read it. Then, because I'm a big old religion nerd, I'd say the Bible, NRSV, because it is certainly big enough to keep me entertained, and I'd finally get around to reading all of it. Wouldn't Kaminsky be proud? :D

The ones that keep putting me to sleep. You would never finish! So then you'd never run out of things to read!

East of Eden by John Steinbeck, because you get something new out of it every time you read it; Emily Post's Etiquette, so that you can return a much more cultured person in more than just the international sense; The Poisonwood Bible, by Barbara Kingsolver, becasue no matter how many times you read it, it doesn't get old; and most importantly, a journal!

so I don't know if this is a bring-along book, because it's short, but you should read Away by Amy Bloom.
