Welcome (Back) To The Jungle
Whew. So, I made it back to college, despite my flight getting cancelled, having to run through the airport, torrential rain and incompetent people at the ticket counter.
And guess what? Yep. Crew started IMMEDIATELY. Two practices on Mon, one on Tues, two tomorrow, and one on Thurs, Fri AND Sat. So last night, I had a horrible preminition that he would be like "Mkay, let's see if y'all actually exercised over break! 6K TEST READY SET GO!". But instead, we did sets of 3 mins on (rowing hard) and one min off (row easy). After our third one, I asked how many we were going to do. He said (and I quote!) "Until you break." (Insert maniacal laugh here). And this morning, it was POURING when we went to practice, so we couldn't row. Instead, we did circuits of weight lifting, abs and stationary bike in the boathouse. It was beyond painful. Let me tell you, I am so freaking sore. And I have weightlifting bright and early tomorrow before my first full day of classes! OH JOY! (Four classes tomorrow, I have an hour break between my first two and my last two, so I dont even know if I'll be able to shower until 2:30!!! EWWW.) And then back to the gym to do the rowing machines tomorrow night, and then on the water Thurs, and the gym again for weights on Fri and water again Sat. EF. EM. EL.
But on the bright side, my class schedule is pretty good this semester! Mondays and Wednesdays are going to be hell with 4 classes and only an hour break in between, but I only have one class on Tuesdays and two on Thurs (but one of the two is a four hour chem lab) and three on Fri, but I'm out of class by 2 every day! YAY NAP TIME! How is everyone's schedule this semester?
OH! And I thought I was going to hate winter because it is cold and wet and nothing like the nice, mild winters down south. But then I realized I like boys in pea coats. And I like boys in sweaters. And I like boys in hats. So I'm thinking winter is going to be OK. (Also, it's cold enough for me to wear my peacoat. I kept it unbuttoned yesterday and the wind was blowing and I felt like Castiel. Also, I'm a dork :D)
