The Whole World's In Love

Gotta love men. -_- And long-distance relationships, for that matter. He'll message you on the night you get back from a Halloween party simply happy and finally, finally feeling like you enjoy your old life. This hits you like a bomb, since it was only a few weeks ago that you two talked for hours every night, and you haven't heard from him since then. You take a night to mull over it (much of it spent dreaming about him) and decide to message him back, because for the fiftieth time you want to forget all the times you got burned in the past and give him another chance. Then boom, he's MIA again, and for the life of you, you can't figure out what's wrong. It's like the second you turn to meet him halfway, he flees. I totally understand how The Time Traveler's Wife is an allegory for Niffenegger's love life now. That theme of always waiting for a guy who is never there, waiting and hurting when he never shows up.

Meanwhile, it's like fucking Noah's Ark around here. All of my friends have recently just gotten with the guy of their dreams, and as much as I love them, it's been nearly unbearable to watch them so cutesy and cuddly with their boyfriends. Is it bad that all I want to do is see him again?

love, lonely, boys, complaining
