It's been a rather lovely weekend. An early dismissal on Thursday, a day off on Friday, and a beautiful Saturday and Sunday. Not too much homework, but not too little (that would be just boring!).
Thursday night, a huge group of my friends and I went to see the school musical, which was very well-done (Bravo to all the excellent cast and crew!). I got there early, so L and I got perfect second row, center-stage seats (though this was more so that I could chat with the pit than getting good viewing seats). The first row was open, too, but there's something about the vulnerability of sitting in the first row that didn't quite appeal to me as much as being half hidden in the second row. Afterwards, we hung around for half an hour and just talked. It was a typical high school see-and-be-seen. What could be better?
Friday night, I stayed home and watched Coyote Ugly (don't look at me like that, there was nothing else on at 10 o'clock at night), because my parents were watching a basketball game downstairs.
Saturday night, my parents and I went out to eat at this new Chinese joint. It was funny, since we were the only Chinese people in the room. The management came over to speak to us in Chinese, so happy they were to finally see Asian people in their establishment, and they gave us the real menu (you know how in every Chinese restaurant, there's the American menu laden with stuff like sweet and sour chicken and moo shu pork, and then there's the Chinese menu, which is mostly light vegetable dishes and spicy beef). Anyway, I just thought was funny.
Yeah...I'm sorry I had to bore you with that update...
