First Off, Saying the F word in my journal is not permitted by me. This your first warning to all. You say it, I report and TOS violate you.
If you do not want your son in a body bag, then why do you insist on contacting the military and accusing them of breaches of conduct and drawing undue attention to you? Do you not realize that your latest tirade has put him on an accelerated rotation schedule to a combat zone? Military members who cause problems or those that complain to congressmen get special treatment. You’re not helping Pete but harming him. So hence, my deduction, you'd rather him be off dead. I can only fathom your former journal post about abortion was alluding to him. It is sad that your son has to even read this. But I feel it is the honest truth of what you intend to do.
Perhaps you are one of these mothers that no one is good enough for your son? Or maybe you feel all women should be submissive and stay home barefoot and pregnant and maybe they should wear an abaas and a veil too? Cristine is a very determine career minded woman. She feels that she can have a life outside of the military. Although you would know what life in the military is like in TODAY's military, NOT. Secondly, what is this about military brainwashing? Do you feel your son is too dumb to make choices from right or wrong, that the military has to do it for him? Or is it you perception has always been from an enlisted point of view. Your son carries the responsibility and accountability for his duties and actions. He is liable by law and can even be sued personally for violations. That is a heavy burden. I am proud to know that he has stood up and accepted the challenge. Pete had a long hard journey getting to wear he is today. I would like to think it is on the correct road in this journey through life. You complain you had not seen Pete for a long time and because of the military and school. Well that is bogus. You could had made the opportunity to come down or brought him up there. But I knew Pete when he lived day to day making ends meet. Where were you?
You complain of their actions while in Maine. Well if you contributed to Pete, why did you not exercise your motherly command? If you had such a bearing on his life, he should have known better. Obliviously you raised him well. I think Pete raised himself more than his Mom did. I think Pete had more fun showing Cristine where he grew up and what made him make some decisions in life. That is what I did, when I took my wife home the first time. You make out that Cristine has never been in Pete's life until their trip up. When in fact, that were around each other for several years prior. So obliviously you are NOT the big role that you played in Pete's life, that you so claim. I honestly feel your desire to write everyone in the Army and such is your way of trying to get control over your son, which you realize you do not have.(what are these supposed rule violations?) You fail to recognize him as an adult and capable of making his own decisions in life. Many Moms’ do have that problem. I think you should be thankful for the time you have with your son. You do not have to live with Cristine, and Pete does. If that makes him happy, you should be happy for him. Not antagonistic as you choose to do.
As far as parenting, I think Pete and Cristine would make great parents. You should know full well that people change when a baby is on the way. So there is room for change here too. But saying that Gothic is bad, I think it is unfair. The sword swinging and such is purely theater, Pete and Cristine have done it for years. Whether you consider it 'Lady like' is irrelevant. It is their hobby. It is no different that a grandmother posting in her LJ that she is sexual deviant. I personally, would never let my young child around someone who is willing to post something like that in a public forum.
