So tonight for both Mothers Day and my brother's 29 birthday, we all went to
The Stinking Rose. Where every item on the menu has garlic.
<3
We had garlic fries as an appetizer, along with focaccia bread and this olive oil sauce that had whole cloves of roasted garlic and it was SO GOOD. My mom refused to try the sauce, and normally I would eat the bread plain, but - CLOVES OF GARLIC, people. I poured it on.
My brother got a side order of a roasted garlic bulb and I got to share it, yay. I kept spooning it onto my meal and just GOD SO GOOD. Roasted garlic is the best garlic there is, yo. My meal was yummy, too. I got gnocchette, which was great because I have been randomly craving gnocchi for eons now. So YAY some more!
And then for dessert, I FINALLY got to try garlic ice cream!! I've been curious for ages, and so we got a scoop to share. And - dude. It was GOOD. It a really subtle garlic flavour, not overpowering at all, unless you asked my mom or Ruth. They're wimps. Angelina adored it! She and I ate the most of it.
My dad complained a lot about the price even though he didn't even PAY FOR IT, and my brother said that he and I would go back without the rest. heh.
So afterwards, I may or may not have bought myself a "Got Garlic?" t shirt. Tra la la.
We also gave Noelle some of everything, because she is a piglet, and I brought a clove of garlic home for the rats. :D
Oh yeah, then we came home, had birthday cake, sat around, wheee. They just left like half an hour ago.
Twas fun!
