daysinger 1. If you were to write a book about a section of your life, what would you decide to write about, and why?
The year 'n' half i played nursemaid to and lived with my dying grandfather. He ABSOLUTELY REFUSED a nurse, or a home or a hospital bed, stayed at home, self-medicated with Burgemeister and Bushmill's, and slowly rotted away. So I did a lot of life-learning and growing up in that period. (unhappily, i must admit: dragged kicking and screaming, truth be told). And I did a lot of self-medicating as well, to deal with him, with me, my mother's bad marriage, the suicide of a friend, and on and on and on. Typical teen angst stuff, i guess. When I was little, he was a big part of me, very influential, so his end was too. I learned then, (and hafta keep relearning, dammit!) most anything you think you really really desperately need is gonna be transient. Better find it in you than around you.
2. What's your favorite activity to do with your kids at this stage of their lives?
Just... being. All of it. Chilling, playing, watching movies, looking up spelling words, all of it. Just to be with them.
3. Do you think you'll ever go to another country? If yes, where?
Hard to say. And if so, I have no idea.
4. In your daily routine, name the 5 best parts of your day.
I don't know if there are five 'best parts' of the day-to-day. The best of a normal day is talking to the boys at bedtime, hearing about their day, and their voices wash over me, sort've. It's nice.
5. What was the last thing you dreamed about? (If Jessica Alba and chocolate syrup were involved, it's okay to pass on this question). :-)
It wasn't Jessica Alba... but there was peanut butter. No, i honestly don't remember.
Bonus Question #6. Do the Raiders suck this year?
I think so.
